Program overview

SF Youth Field Hockey is designed to meet the needs of different kinds of players: from newbies who’ve never touched a stick to committed athletes looking to play in college.

We offer year-round opportunities to play: Fall, Winter, and Spring Seasons and Summer Camps.

Practices

Practice Frequency

  • U06, U08 practice 1x/week
  • U10, U12, U14 practice 2x/week
  • U16, U19 practice 3x/week

 

Additional Training

  • Supplemental trainings for players who attend tournaments
  • Add-on specialty sessions available to U12+ players for hitting, stick, and goalkeeping skills

 

Age groups for 2025-2026 Club Season (Fall 2025, Winter 25/26 and Spring 2026):

  • U06: Players born after July 31. 2019 (typically TK & K)
  • U08: Players born after July 31, 2017 are eligible (typically 1st & 2nd grade)
  • U10: Players born after July 31, 2015 are eligible (typically 3rd & 4th grade)
  • U12: Players born after July 31, 2013 are eligible (typically 5th & 6th grade)
  • U14: Players born after July 31, 2011 are eligible (typically 7th & 8th grade)
  • U16: Players born after July 31, 2009 are eligible (typically 9th & 10th grade)
  • U19: Players born after July 31, 2007 are eligible (typically 11th & 12th grade)
